“Our Volunteer of the Year is veteran of the US Air Force, serving four tours overseas for his country. He has attended over 20 clinics in 2018 alone and has over 75 pro bono hours in 2018. In the last 4 years he has accepted 21 extended representation cases and given counsel & advice to hundreds of clients at our clinics. He has received the Medal of the Samaritan Award from the MVLP all 3 years it has been in existence. He has numerous hours mentoring young lawyers and providing an example of why providing civil legal aid and equal access to justice for all is so important. He is humble, patient and kind and always willing to attend a clinic and volunteer his time for the low income citizens of Montgomery County. He is the epitome of what “Lawyers Render Service” stands for and is an example living out “to whom much is given, much is required.” This year’s 2018 MCBA Volunteer of the Year Award goes to Royce Wadsworth.”
